RMFU Policy:
"We support removing the Gallagher, TABOR, and Amendment provisions from the state constitution and returning tax and budgeting authority to the Colorado State Legislature, the Governor, and other appropriate elected officials."
RMFU Policy:
"We oppose the introduction, reintroduction, and/or relocation of endangered species or predatory animals onto lands where agricultural operations, wildlife, domestic animals or humans might be adversely affected. This includes but is not limited to wolves and grizzly bears."
RMFU Statement:
"Agricultural production is the economic and social taproot for the Western Slope economy. Rocky Mountain Farmers Union endorses Measure 7A for its proactive and positive steps toward securing water supplies for farmers and ranchers. The need for investment in infrastructure and the complementary focus on conservation are critical given the trend toward drier growing seasons. Voting for 7A will put resources to work to assure water works for everyone who lives in this water basin. Otherwise, we will fall farther behind as competition rather than cooperation creates winners and losers. We know that past “buy and dry” approaches have been detrimental to ag producers and rural communities."
-Dr. Dale McCall, President of Rocky Mountain Farmers Union
