Rocky Mountain Farmers Union supports initiatives to put local consumers and food producers together for mutual benefit through co-ops like High Plains Food Cooperative and Peak to Plains Alliance. RMFU partners with state programs to promote local foods in Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.
- Colorado Proud is a program of the Colorado Department of Agriculture that promotes food and agricultural products that are grown, raised or processed in the state.
- New Mexico’s Taste the Tradition and Grow the Tradition programs identify and promote New Mexico agricultural products, including food, fiber, wine, produce, nuts, and livestock.
- The University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service’s Eat Wyoming program serves to improve relationships between consumers and producers of Wyoming foods.
