About Us

The need of farmers and ranchers to organize took root in 1902 in Point, Texas. By 1907, this movement spread across the nation’s heartland, including into Colorado. While areas of country were thriving, rural communities were being left behind. These rural leaders worked together to create better economic and social environments. Today, Farmers Union members continue this tradition by finding common ground and seeking solutions to today’s challenges. Rocky Mountain Farmers Union is a division of National Farmers Union. Our 20,000 member families live in communities across Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming.
